Alltså... my name is Mikko Pekkarinen. I was born on May 11th 1976 in Turku, Finland. I've got three brothers, one sister, one mom, one dad and no pets. My sister has two turtles. Currently I live in Tampere. Since 1996 I have been pretending to study mathematics, programming and (to some extent) signal processing at Tampere University of Technology. In 1999 I spent the fall term in Budapest. I happened to graduate in spring 2000. The abstract and ToC of my MSc. thesis are available online. I also had a job as a research assistant at the Signal Processing Laboratory, in the Data Fusion Group, but I quit in autumn 2000. Additionally, I have been working on some math courses as the guy who mumbles in the tutorials. (During my freshman-year for the first time!)
Currently I'm a graduate student at TUT. I might become a Dr. Tech. some day.
I don't have any hobbies. Or maybe I have some. Quite many in fact. These at least: Math, jogging, programming, reading, skiing, making (cheap) food, baking, sleeping, reading cartoons and beeing a fan of Winnie-ther-Pooh and Moomins.
If you think I'm ever going to translate all my pages into English, Swedish, German, Hungarian, Gnomish or anything else, you are wrong. (Just my opinion, and they tend to change once in a while...) However, at least I checked the spelling of one of my Finnish pages in English. The result doesn't make any sense, but the spelling should be correct.
That pretty much covers it. If you want to know more, learn Finnish. Only don't blame me if you don't.
